This is the final policy brief in a series of three about youth gangs and the prevention of youth crime.

This policy brief takes stock of the Bridge Building (BB) and Eastern European Social Policy Network (EESPN) initiatives by capturing stakeholder feedback from the focal regions, i.e. the Western Balkan region and the Eastern Partnership countries.

This project report is about welfare policy responses to crime committed in youth gangs. In a literature review we were concerned with the phenomenon of juvenile delinquency and respective prevention measures to reduce the number of young people who join youth gangs.

In this short study we calculate the effects of raising the net replacement rate of unemployment benefits in Austria from 55% to 70%. The focus is on poverty risk, employment effects and the costs of the reform for the years 2019 and 2020. The calculations are performed using the EUROMOD microsimulation model based on EU-SILC data.

This report focuses on both loneliness and social isolation, it presents different aspects of these from a European comparative analysis and offers policy recommendations.
