The General Assembly Meeting 2026 (GAM) with the 52nd Annual Meeting of the Board of Directors and the 36th NLO Assembly Meeting will be held at the United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV) on Wednesday, 14th and Thursday, 15th October 2026. Please mind, that the Closed Session of the Board will take place on Wednesday, 14th October, from 9:00 to 12:30 with participation restricted to Members of the Board of Directors.
The aim of the General Assembly Meeting is to present and discuss the results of the European Centre's activities over the past year and to prepare for the future of research on social policy in the UNECE region. The GAM 2026 will focus on showcasing the specific expertise provided by European Centre staff in the areas of social inclusion and protection, employment and labour mobility as well as health and care. Moreover, we shall highlight the expertise delivered to defined stakeholders and the way in which we cover our mandate in the UNECE region. Board Members, National Liaison Officials and observers are invited to a dialogue with European Centre's staff on needs and expectations for the future of social policy governance and how research can contribute to progress in challenging times of international cooperation.
