The European Centre Training Team conducted a one-day virtual impact evaluation training for the Irish Department of Social Protection on May 25, 2022. Our colleagues, Rahel Kahlert and Elif Naz Kayran implemented a hands-on, interactive learning approach to foster peer learning among senior management of social policy development. The training covered the following topics: Evaluation aims and needs in social policy, impact versus process evaluation, theory of change and logic models, how to develop and use indicators, case studies. This training was part of the European Centre Training Programme to provide tailor-made training courses to stakeholder needs.
