Journal article: Relationship between labour market institutions and immigration policy attitudes in Europe

The journal Nations & Nationalism published the article “Labour market institutions and immigration policy attitudes: The moderated impact of economic vulnerability” of our colleague Elif Naz Kayran. This article examines to what extent labour market policies shape economically motivated preferential divides among European citizens on the topic of immigration policy. The study focuses on the one hand, on assessing the influence of unemployment risk exposure on immigration policy attitudes. On the other hand, the paper argues that, if such an economically motivated explanation holds, this relationship should vary based on the labour market institutions in each country. Read more!
