The European Centre has consulted the Slovenian government in piloting the concept of single-entry points and integrated LTC delivery over a period of 18 months, in particular by providing methods and tools for monitoring and evaluation. In a final policy workshop in Ljubljana on 13 December 2019 the Social Protection Institute of the Republic of Slovenia presented first results and experiences and the European Centre provided recommendations. Rahel Kahlert proposed additional ideas for monitoring and evaluation during the remaining pilot period, while Kai Leichsenring presented ways to learn from similar approaches in other European countries. Christoph Schwierz from the EU Commission (European Structural and Investment Fund) supported the general conclusion that it is necessary to create national framework conditions for a sustainable integrated system for long-term care in Slovenia, supported by the most valuable experiences from the pilot projects.
