Job quality and working conditions in the Western Balkans

DESCRIPTION

The 11th BBinar focused on job quality and working conditions in the six Western Balkan countries. The Foundation for the Advancement of Economics (FREN) in Serbia and the European Centre for Social Welfare Policy and Research conducted a comparative analysis on job quality and working conditions and drew recommendations for their improvement in the region based on The European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions (Eurofound)'s 2021 European Working Conditions Telephone Survey (EWCTS), which for the first time included the six Western Balkan countries. The BBinar was moderated by Sonila Danaj (Deputy Director of the European Centre), and covered discussions based on the findings of the report published by Eurofound on the results of the comparative analysis, and participants from the Western Balkan countries (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia) and other EU countries exhanged experiences specifically on (1) Labour markets and working population in the Western Balkans and beyond, (2) job quality in the Western Balkans, (3) quality of the working life and (4) gender equality.
