In this policy brief, we discuss different types of support measures for young carers and young adult carers (16-29 years), who (co-)provide informal care to someone in their social environment, who lives with a long-term illness, disability or age-related difficulties. Based on a recently completed research project for the Chamber of Labour Upper Austria, we present existing support measures and considerations for the development of new measures. The policy brief covers general measures such as awareness-raising, identification and individual support as well as measures in the field of vocational guidance, education, training and job entry. This policy brief is available in German and English.
