This policy brief aims to examine what data currently exist on the homeless population and homelessness policy outcomes, as well as discuss the most pressing issues regarding data collection. In particular, the policy brief presents data on the size and composition of the homeless population and the various methods used to collect these data in ten European countries, taking into consideration differences in the definition and operationalization of homelessness in data collection across countries.
