Fair Labour Mobility EU: Counselling Network and Research for Mobile Migrant Labour is a pilot project that addresses the persistent protection gaps faced by mobile and migrant workers in the European Union, particularly posted third-country nationals (TCN). The project pursues a dual strategy: (1) the expansion and coordination of a transnational counselling network and (2) a comparative study aimed at developing evidence-based recommendations for future EU-wide support structures. Seven trade union-related counselling centres in sending and receiving countries — including Serbia as a candidate country — will provide multilingual, sector specific advice to mobile and migrant workers. The European Centre as the research partnerwill carry out a comparative study including the mapping of existing counselling services in the EU and selected neighbouring countries, the identification of risks, gaps and best practices in current support systems, the collection of practice-based insights from counselling centres via a questionnaire distributed in 12 countries and the development of recommendations for the establishment of a permanent EU-wide counselling structure.
