FutureGEN: Launch of the Data Navigator

On 12 May, the FutureGEN team hosted a webinar to launch the Data Navigator, an open-access tool that compares gender and socioeconomic differences in health and long-term care use for community-dwelling older people (aged 65+ years) in Europe over time.

The webinar attracted researchers, policymakers and advocacy groups from across Europe and Canada. The FutureGEN team presented the functionality of the Data Navigator and showcased 2 health and care indicators (IADLs & informal caregiving) as examples of how the Data Navigator can be used. The presentation of the Data Navigator was followed by input by three Sounding Board members of FutureGEN on the potential uses of the Data Navigator in research and advocacy work: Eileen Rocard (OECD), Stecy Yghemonos (Eurocarers), and Francesca Bettio (University of Siena).

The Data Navigator is now openly available for use by the public and can be found here.
