Posting.STAT Kick off: The collection & analysis of national data on intra-EU posting

The new project 'Enhancing the collection and analysis of national data on intra-EU posting' (Posting.Stat) kicked off on 11 February 2021 with an online event organized by the lead partner HIVA - Research Institute for Work and Society, KU Leuven (Belgium) and the participation of all partners and associated partners from ten EU countries where the action is concentrated and the EU level social partners involved. The kick-off was greeted by RadosÅ‚aw Owczarzak (European Commission – DG EMPL). The sessions focused on the legal framework and definitions, the research questions and the collection of administrative micro-data on posting in terms of posting trends and patterns, fraudulent posting, the impact of COVID-19 and the revision of the directive. At the end of the meeting, social partners expressed their wish for better comparative data and more reliable quantitative evidence across the EU to be used in policy-making, which this project is aiming to contribute to.
