OECD webinar: Informal care during the COVID-19 pandemic

DATE

02/10/2020

Ricardo Rodrigues presented early findings on the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on informal care at the Employment, Labour and Social Affairs webinar series of the OECD on 2 October 2020.

This webinar included early findings from a survey carried out in June/July among people aged 20-64 in Austria, as part of a larger project financed by the Arbeiterkammer Wien (Chamber of Labour of Vienna) that includes Nadia Steiber (coordinator, IHS), Cassandra Simmons (European Centre) and Andrea E. Schmidt (GÖG). The analysis focused on changes to prevalence and intensity of care, as well as the psychological impact on caregiving during the pandemic. Results will be available by the end of the year on the European Centre website and in a peer-reviewed article.
