BACKGROUND

The main association of the Austrian Social Security Institutions provided data on pharmaceutical consumption in Austria that have been analysed and presented in a report. Before a potential publication of the analyses, a thorough external review was required.

AIMS

To develop a review concept based on examples of international reports on consumption of pharmaceuticals
To evaluate the report based on the evaluation concept involving medical /pharmacological experts
To coordinate review activities from external experts and re-calculations (if required)
To provide a written summary including suggestions for improvement
